Solstice has been selected as a finalist in Crain's Chicago Business' list of "Top 100 Best Places To Work."

Crain’s Chicago Business’ annual list recognizes companies in Chicago that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to creating an outstanding work environment and culture for their employees.

Determining the “Best Places to Work in Chicago” involved a two-step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace.

“To be recognized as a top Chicago employer is an honor,” said Kelly Manthey, CEO of Solstice. “Since our inception, providing opportunities for our employees to learn, develop and grow, as well as give back to the community and support one another has been a top priority. To us, that’s what culture is because by building a solid core, we’re able to continue innovating for our clients.”

Solstice invests tremendously in its workplace culture and employee development initiatives. For instance, Solstice grants employees a $5,000 budget annually to use towards training and development. It also has various internal initiatives to help employees stay ahead of innovative technologies including Solstice Labs, its internal R&D function where employees can build and test emerging technologies, Solstice U, a training program led by employees educating other staff, and Express Days, a 24-hour hackathon hosted annually to keep both its culture and R&D thriving. Solstice’s innovative culture has been celebrated with various awards including Built in Chicago’s “Top 100 Digital Companies,” Fortune’s “100 Best Workplaces for Millennials,” Tech in Motion’s “Best Tech Work Culture, and Training magazine’s “Top 125 Training” list, among others.

The final rankings of the “Top 100 Best Places to Work,” plus the “Top 10 Best Places to Work for Boomers” and the “Top 10 Best Places to Work for Women” will be profiled in the April 16, 2018 issue of Crain’s Chicago Business, and featured online at
