Propellant and Solvents

Solstice VOC-exempt propellants and solvents are helping customers achieve their sustainability goals and meet evolving regulations, providing an alternative for products facing phase-out due to safety and environmental concerns, such as HFC-134a, HFC-152a and HCFC 141b. 

Solstice propellants are used by the most environmentally conscious manufacturers of canned air and compressed air cleaners, including pressure dusters, topical analgesics and anesthetics, freezer sprays, specialized insecticides, and maritime signal horns. Solstice propellant is a nonflammable solution with a low GWP <1 and is an alternative to HFCs and HCFCs. 

Solstice propellant climate-friendly alternative to HFCs and HCFCs, with performance similar to HFC-134a, and is a near drop-in replacement with only minimal changes required to formulations and equipment.

Solstice solvents offer an array of Solstice ultra-low GWP, nonflammable, high-performance precision cleaning solvents and flushing agents that help our customers solve their toughest cleaning and degreasing challenges, including Honeywell Solstice® PF, PF-C, EZ Flush and Ekoflush®.

• Solstice® PF – nonflammable, favorable toxicity properties, and a GWP of 1. Excels in precision cleaning of metal, plastic, and electronics parts in vapor degreasing equipment, circuit flushing, and in aerosol cleaning applications.  
• Solstice® PF-C – highly effective cleaner and carrier fluid with favorable safety and environmental properties. Applications range from aerosolized coatings and adhesives to household and industrial cleaning formulations. 
• Solstice® PF-2A –  azeotropic mixture of Solstice PF and methanol that balances cleaning with environmental and safety attributes. Combines the cleaning power of Solstice PF with methanol. 
• Solstice® PF-HP – ultra clean, nonflammable cleaning solution, with desirable safety and environmental attributes. Ideally suited for oxygen system cleaning for propulsion and life support in commercial aircraft, military, and spacecraft. 
• Solstice® PF-HP – same outstanding performance delivered by Solstice PF-HP, but as a spray that is convenient for cleaning certain types of parts and components. 
• Solstice® EZ Flush – replaces HCFC 141b, refrigerants, or compressed nitrogen in single flush refrigeration and air-conditioning circuits. Ideal for circuit flushing in all manner of HVACR systems. 
• Ekoflush® – optimized flushing machines for Solstice® PF-C, provides a high quality, cost-effective, safer, and environmentally compliant multiple-use flushing solution for air conditioning and refrigeration circuits.
