Solstice Advanced Materials is a pure-play specialty materials company with leading market positions in refrigerants, semiconductor materials, industrial-grade fibers and healthcare packaging solutions. It was formed by the spin-off of Honeywell’s Advanced Materials business into an independent, U.S. publicly traded company on October 30, 2025.
Solstice Advanced Materials manufactures a wide variety of high-performance specialty materials technologies including low global warming potential Solstice® refrigerants, Spectra®, a fiber used in high-end armor technology to protect in law enforcement and military applications, Hydranal®, one of the industry’s most trusted brands in Karl Fischer titration, and Aclar®, a pharmaceutical packaging material critical to preserving prescription drugs and keeping them safe.
Solstice Advanced Materials became an independent, U.S. publicly traded company on October 30, 2025, but the company has an established legacy of leadership in specialty materials that dates back decades due to its history as the Advanced Materials business of Honeywell.
Solstice Advanced Materials is led by President and CEO David Sewell. Simon Mawson leads Solstice’s Refrigerants & Applied Solutions segment, and Jeff Dormo leads the Electronics & Specialty Materials segment. These leaders are supported by a purpose-built Board of Directors, comprised of senior leaders with innovation, technology, and industrial sector expertise, with Dr. Rajeev Gautam as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board.
Solstice Advanced Materials is headquartered in Morris Plains, New Jersey.
Solstice Advanced Materials is organized into two operating segments:
- Refrigerants & Applied Solutions (“RAS”): A leading portfolio of low-global-warming-potential (LGWP) refrigerants, blowing agents, solvents and aerosol materials, distributed and sold through the Solstice®, Genetron®, and Aclar® brands.
- Electronic & Specialty Materials (“ESM”): A leading portfolio of electronic materials, industrial-grade fibers, laboratory life sciences materials, and specialty chemicals, distributed and sold through the Spectra®, Fluka®, and Hydranal® brands.
Solstice Advanced Materials is proud to serve a global base of over 3,000 customers in approximately 120 countries and territories. The company serves diverse industries, including HVAC, automotive, energy, construction, healthcare, semiconductors, and defense.
Solstice Advanced Materials is supported by more than 3,900 employees, 21 manufacturing sites and four R&D sites. In 2024, Honeywell’s Advanced Materials business generated net sales of $3.8 billion and net income of $0.6 billion.
In addition to its headquarters in Morris Plains, New Jersey, Solstice Advanced Materials teams are located in Charlotte, Houston, Dublin, Shanghai, Tokyo, Bangalore, Bucharest and Mexico City. The company operates 21 manufacturing sites and four R&D sites.
As of June 30, 2025, Solstice Advanced Materials’s intellectual property portfolio consisted of over 5,700 issued patents and pending applications.

To access an existing account for the first time after the move, users will need to reset their passwords. This is a simple, one-time process that they will complete the first time they log in to the new website(s).
- Select the Sign In’ link in the website header
- Select ‘Sign in to My Portal.’ (On the Research Chemical portal, click the ‘Sign In’ button on the drop-down menu.)
- Enter the email associated with the account
- Click ‘Forgot my password’
- Follow the link we send to the email box to set up a new password
If you are registered on both websites, you only need to reset your password on one of them. You can use the same password to access either site, making the login process more convenient.
